How to deal with pig manure? Three great tricks for piggery manure cleaning!

猪舍1

Many people will say that raising pigs is to clear dung and feed, but in fact, clearing dung is not a simple matter. Here I will introduce the experience of clearing dung:
1、 Cleaning dung in winter nursery: time is critical
Many people will arrange the time of dung cleaning after going to work and feeding. This work can be done in summer and autumn when the temperature difference between inside and outside of the house is small, but it is not suitable if it is used in cold winter when the temperature difference between inside and outside of the house is large, because many harmful gases will be emitted when dung cleaning, while the temperature difference between inside and outside of the house is large, opening the window for ventilation will often form a thief wind, causing respiratory diseases of pigs; Lack of ventilation will lead to excessive harmful gases in the house, and in addition, harmful gases will accumulate in the house one night, resulting in serious lack of oxygen, which will also cause respiratory tract injury of pigs.
For this reason, we believe that the dung cleaning time of the winter nursery should be arranged at the time near noon when the temperature difference between the inside and outside of the nursery becomes smaller, and the window should be opened for ventilation first, and then the dung cleaning should be started, which is also because the ventilation needs a process of opening the window from small to large; If the weather is suitable, wash the net bed with water in the afternoon, and then ventilate and dry it, which can ensure that pigs can breathe fresh air all night, which is very beneficial to the prevention of respiratory diseases.
2、 Clear the feces of sows in the positioning pen
It is easier to clean up the sows’ excrement in the positioning fence, and it is better to operate when it can be washed in summer; However, in winter, when you can’t flush with water, you need to pay attention to the method of clearing dung, otherwise you will have a black pig butt. Here is our method of defecation:
At the same time of each feeding, turn off the water, clean the dung immediately after feeding, scrape the dung out of the positioning bar first, and open the valve to drain water after most of the dung is cleaned, which also has the effect of keeping the house dry. Because pigs generally do not lie down easily without drinking water, this makes this work easier.
3、 Fecal collection of sows
The risk of piglet diarrhea in the delivery room comes from Escherichia coli, and the sow feces are the breeding ground of Escherichia coli. If the piglets do not contact with the sow feces, the risk of illness will be much smaller. Therefore, some pig farms implement the practice of receiving the sow feces, that is, the feces will be caught by people without contacting the net bed; Many people believe that this is impossible because the workload of the staff is very large and there is no time to do it; However, if you think carefully, it can also be operated. Not every pig can receive it, but some pigs can. Moreover, receiving feces reduces the cleaning and brushing of feces after landing, and the workload is not large. The key is how to operate.
Our method is to mix the material into a wet mixture before feeding each time. The pigs will stand up and wait when they hear the sound of mixing. At this time, instead of feeding, they will take the spade and turn around behind the sow. When they find out which sow has signs of pulling feces, they will immediately run to catch the feces. In this way, most of the sows will defecate in 10 to 20 minutes, and then start feeding. After a period of time, the material will become soft, and will become more palatable.
